DESCRIPTION:  \n  \n16th–18th September 2026 | Accra\, Ghana \nJulie’s Memorial Haven Foundation (JMH Foundation)\, in partnership with Abayedei Cares\, successfully organized a three-day Menstrual Hygiene Awareness Program from 16th to 18th September 2026\, reaching and empowering 300 girls across three schools in Accra\, Ghana. \nThe outreach was conducted at: \n* Osu Presbyterian Preparatory School – 16th September 2026\n* Tiny Flowers Academy\, Osu – 17th September 2026\n* South La Estate Junior High School\, Osu – 18th September 2026 \nThe program was designed to educate young girls on menstrual health and hygiene\, promote confidence and dignity\, and provide practical support to help them manage menstruation safely and effectively. \nOver the course of the three days\, the girls participated in engaging and interactive sessions covering: \n* Understanding menstruation and the menstrual cycle\n* Proper menstrual hygiene practices\n* Personal care and self-care during menstruation\n* Building confidence and self-esteem\n* Breaking myths and stigma surrounding menstruation\n* The importance of education and staying in school during menstruation \nTo ensure the girls received accurate and professional guidance\, the Foundation brought together a team of dedicated doctors\, nurses\, entrepreneurs\, brand ambassadors\, and community advocates\, who shared their knowledge\, experiences\, and encouragement. The girls were given the opportunity to ask questions freely\, participate in discussions\, and gain a better understanding of how to care for themselves during their menstrual periods. \nAs part of the initiative\, every participant received a specially prepared Menstrual Hygiene Care Package\, which included: \n* A tote bag\n* Sanitary pads\n* Body wash\n* Body spray\n* Shaving stick\n* A personalized encouragement and thank-you message \nIn addition\, our partners\, Abayedei Cares\, generously provided snack packs for all participating girls\, helping to make the experience enjoyable\, memorable\, and impactful. \nThe program was met with great enthusiasm from students\, teachers\, and school administrators.
